Oil/Gas Production (Onshore & Offshore)
Kentz has been working in the onshore and offshore oil and gas production industry since the early 1970s where we had a significant role to play in the North Sea, providing electrical, instrumentation, SCADA systems, completions and commissioning services. Today Kentz provides specialist EPC, construction, completions and commissioning services, from onshore production facilities to upgrades, de-bottlenecking and commissioning services for floating production and storage and offloading (FPSO), semi-submersibles and tension leg platforms.
Kentz provides specialist EPC, construction and commissioning services for this industry. Specialist EPC and construction services include mechanical, electrical, controls & instrumentation and security & telecommunications packages, and full completions and commissioning services throughout the Middle East, Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe.
Due to our continued involvement with the commissioning of offshore installations, many clients prefer to have commissioning service agreements with Kentz to enable our commissioning teams to mobilise quickly, benefiting by already knowing the client’s requirements and procedures, such as installation test reports, operation test reports and handover dossiers.
Kentz provides both regional and local engineering capability to support our oil and gas production systems as well as commissioning teams which typically reside in the owner’s engineering offices prior to relocating into the fabricator’s yard and onwards to the hook-up and commissioning phase.
Kentz plant automation, safety and telecommunications systems group provides totally integrated solutions including advanced controls and management information systems which can be housed in modular control and equipment rooms. For modular-based control buildings, the systems can have a fully integrated prior to moving the module(s) being transported offshore which helps to reduce personnel required offshore. Kentz plant automation and safety systems group also replace, upgrade or expand installed systems on an EPC basis with careful planning to ensure there are no scheduled process shutdowns.
