Internationally, as a result of the rapid expansion of industrial projects, considerable demand for Temporary Construction Facilities (TCF) is being experienced. Mega petrochemical & refinery projects require facilities to service a project task-force of 20,000 to 40,000 men. This demand can usually only be met by constructing dedicated turnkey greenfield ‘camp & utilities’ and ‘temporary site facilities’ (TSF).

To ensure project success and to allow the timely mobilisation of project implementation contractors, on most occasions it is an early works priority to build a dedicated project ‘construction village’ - camp accommodation, utilities & infrastructure, and ‘temporary site facilities’ i.e offices, warehousing, laydown, fabrication, utilities & infrastructure. TCF projects by nature are logistic-driven with very challenging schedule and intermediate requirements to meet early and phased occupancy.

Under present practice in many countries and locations the presence of large volumes of foreign workers in town or city public areas at weekends is actively discouraged by the local municipal authorities. Under these circumstances the camp design needs to cater for full-time occupancy over seven days. Accordingly additional enhanced indoor and outdoor recreational and sporting facilities are required.

We provide single point responsibility for; project management, process design, detailed engineering, fabrication, supply, shipping, construction, mechanical completion, testing & commissioning and start-up of the various elements associated with the complete TCF facilities. Performance-testing and provision of performance guarantees are an integral part of our work scope. 

Key TCF work scope elements are typically:

• Land lease agreement.
• Geotechnical & topographical survey together with soil improvement.
• Camp accommodation; multi-national, senior & junior accommodation including common buildings - guard house, substation, canteens, food preparation, cinemas, laundries, administration, medical, maintenance, mosque.
• Camp utilities; power generation; potable water/fire water (PW/FW), waste water treatment plant (WWTP), disposal-treated effluent water, irrigation, pipelines and telecommunications.
• Camp common facilities; fire detection/protection, access roads, fencing, lighting, outdoor recreation - sports fields, tennis/volley ball courts, swimming pools - and reticulation of all utilities within the camp and facility areas.
• TSF office; pioneer offices, owner/PMT offices, main implementation contractor offices including common buildings – safety induction, warehousing, medical, maintenance.
• TSF utilities; power generation, potable water/fire water (PW/FW, sewage, telecommunications.
• TSF common facilities; fire detection/protection, access roads, fencing, lighting and reticulation of all utilities.
