Hospitals
Kentz Ireland Ltd has vast experience in the electrical services, engineering and installation works in hospitals in Ireland.
Kentz has completed the electrical services installation in two of the most prestigious private hospital facilities to be built in Ireland in recent years, namely the Galway Clinic and the Hermitage Medical Clinic in Dublin. Kentz is currently completing the builders' work drawings and coordinated engineering for the New Limerick Private Hospital. This project is currently at the design development stage and Kentz is working closely with the design team on the finalisation of the design and selection of the major electrical and medical equipment.
Kentz has also completed the full electrical services and systems installation at Waterford Regional Hospital (450-bed Acute Centre of Medical Excellence) over 5 years, completing in 1993. Since then Waterford Regional Hospital has been upgraded and extended on an ongoing basis and Kentz has performed the electrical engineering and installations on all of these upgrades. Kentz is currently working on extensions to the CSSD and an extension to the Neo Natal ICU.
While working in the public and private hospital sectors, Kentz has gainedunique experience of the requirements for installations in working hospitals with regards to disease control and dealing with the specialist operating and staff requirements in these hospitals.
While understanding the operating staff requirements, Kentz project managers and engineers offer the most up-to-date engineering packages to our clients for technical and financial evaluation and can propose the most efficient systems to suit the requirements of the particular hospital design. The types of systems that require development with operating staff in mind are:
- Fire alarm systems
- Voice and DATA systems
- Nurse call systems
- Theatre lighting and theatre control panels
- Emergency backup systems
- Bed head trunking systems
- Building management systems
- Cardiac and body protected electrical areas
- Patient entertainment and monitoring systems
- Complete integrated security systems
- Diagnostic and imaging systems
- Operating theatres and ancillary rooms systems.
Kentz is committed to completing its hospital projects on schedule and to the agreed budgets. The unique Kentz planning and monitoring tools and systems identify activities that cause problems, and as a result corrective action can be taken to avoid compromising the overall schedule.
Kentz places an experienced team to suit the size and complexity of a particular hospital project, a team who are fully committed to that project from completion of builders' work drawings, coordinated engineering, design development, procurement, construction, through to commissioning and handover to the client. Clients tend to have preferred specialist suppliers for operating theatres, radiotherapy and diagnostic equipment. Kentz will provide engineers who fully understand the interface requirements for hospital equipment and systems and who will advise clients of these when they are sourcing this equipment.
Kentz will propose to supply quality electrical equipment on hospital projects. This equipment will comply with the latest standards and the suppliers will perform complete training for the maintenance personnel and operating staff that are required to operate this equipment.
Kentz can offer up to 3-year maintenance packages to our clients for all completed hospital projects. Clients who take up this package will have the option to extend the maintenance contract or directly employ our maintenance staff at the end of the initial maintenance period.
