What We Do

Fine Chemicals

Kentz has been providing construction services to the chemical industry since the early 1960s where we had a significant role to play in Europe providing electrical, instrumentation, controls and commissioning services.  Today Kentz provides specialist EPC for specialist and fine chemical projects through the world.

Kentz provides both a centralised and local engineering capability along with our construction division who have executed multimillion man-hour construction projects within chemical complexes throughout the Middle East, Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe.  Our local engineering services and construction business units comprise over 10,000 personnel and are available as stand-alone services.

As part of our specialist EPC services, we provide civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls & instrumentation, and security & telecommunications packages; early construction facilities including offices, camps, power, water and telecommunications; utility packages including power, steam, water, gases and flares; and offsite packages solutions including product transfer pipelines, tank farm, port development and expansion.

Kentz plant automation, safety and telecommunications systems group provides totally integrated solutions housed in a modular (or stick-built) control and equipment buildings including advanced controls and management information systems.  These systems are fully tested prior to moving to site which helps reduce systems manpower requirements at site as well as helping to reduce schedule during the site commissioning phase.

Kentz plant automation and safety systems group also replaces, upgrades or expands installed systems on an EPC basis with careful planning for no scheduled process shutdowns.

Kentz also provides pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up support services to both the prime contractor and owner.  Our specialist personnel apply our client’s commissioning software, our own UKen systems or a mix of both, from the planning phase until product qualitative and quantitative milestones have been met.
