Kentz has been working in the offshore oil and gas production industry since the early 1970s where we had a significant role to play in the development of the North Sea oil and gas industry, providing specialist EPC and construction for power generation, electrical, controls, safety, fire and gas, instrumentation, security and personnel monitoring, SCADA, telecommunications systems and turnkey speciality skids/modules through to completions and commissioning. 

Today Kentz provides these services for topsides across existing and developing oil and gas production regions with offshore operations on five continents; Europe, Americas, Africa, Asia and Australia. This global resource provides quality services whilst reducing client risk, costs and schedule through all phases of the project in some of the most remote locations.

Kentz provides specialist EPC, construction, completions, hookup and commissioning services for production facilities, upgrades, de-bottlenecking, expansion and turnarounds to the oil and gas industry for new and existing facilities, for topsides for platform and floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels. 

In conjunction with our offshore operations, Kentz provides these services for onshore production facilities as well as early oil facilities.

Our hookup and commissioning teams are often integrated within the installation owners or client team to ensure platforms and floating solutions are commissioned to schedule.  As part of the owner’s project management team during the engineering phase, Kentz is able to develop the completions and commissioning plan to ensure access, equipment and beds are available for the commissioning to be completed within schedule. Due to the constant success of this initiative, many Kentz clients prefer to have commissioning service agreements to enable our commissioning teams to mobilise quickly, benefiting by already knowing the client’s requirements and procedures, such as installation test reports, operation test reports and handover dossiers.
