The Moma Project is a Greenfields project, which includes the installation of a floating concentrator plant, a dry separation plant, a roaster, two dredgers, a barge (to be used to move material onto bigger ships for export), an accommodation village and related infrastructure.
The main process plant was relocated from a former BHP Billiton plant in Western Australia. Refurbishment was carried out at Moma.
Similarly, the dry separation plant was also an existing plant that required extensive refurbishment.
The project will produce 700 000 t of four ilimenite products a year containing between 50% and 60% Ti02.
