Description:Electrical, instrumentation and telecommunications and SCADA installation works
OGD Phase III Abu Dhabi
Scope of Work:         

Project management, field engineering support, electrical, instrument, telecoms and SCADA installation services.  The site is approximately 150KM from Abu Dhabi and is adjacent to the existing OGD I and II facilities, both being projects where UTS Kent was previously involved.

Substation electrical work consists of installation and pre-commissioning of transformers, neutral earthing resistors, capacitor banks, packaged substations, switchgear, UPS systems and load shedding.  The field electrical scope consists of installation cable raceways, HV/LV cable installations, cable testing and termination, lighting/small power, control stations, cathodic protection and motor testing.

Instrumentation work consists of installation of the Integrated Control System in multiple Instrument Equipment Shelters (IES) and the New Main Control Room (NMCR).Also included is field installation work with several analyser houses and the full fire and gas detection system for the new plant.

The telecommunications scope involves installation and pre-commissioning of CCTV, PA, radio, structured cabling,telephone systems and all associated copper and fiber optic cabling. The SCADA scope of work involves the removal of the existing Remote Telemetry Units (RTUs) and replacement of these with new RTUs and associated radio masts at each of the existing 189 wellhead locations. UTS Kent will also purpose build a 1,000 man facility for utilisation during the project.
