Scope of Work:
Electrical & Instrumentation Installation: Installation of cable trays and ladders, installation of light fittings, drives, instruments loops, electrical cable and earthing inspection, calibration, testing and commissioning of all field instrumentation, assistance in hot commissioning and testing of DCS.
The project is a Greenfields Project largely driven by a global increase in both the demand for Octene and current pricing levels. This will be the giant Petrochemical Group's third 1-Octene plant in Secunda and is a fast-track facility due for commissioning in the middle of 2007. German Engineering Group Linde is handling the design and construction of the facility, one of many such projects they have undertaken for Sasol.
