Our History

Today, Kentz is a Member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, whose Oil & Gas Division houses a group of approximately 15,500 high-calibre employees across the globe, with industry-leading expertise for large and complex projects. However Kentz's origins can be traced back to 1919 when it started life as a local electrical contractor based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland.

                                          Kentz in Qatar was awarded the entire scope for instrumentation construction on the Oryx GTL Plant in Ras Laffan by Technip Italy. It was the first plant of its size to be built outside of South Africa by Sasol. It was also the world’s first commercial gas to liquid (GTL) facility and the first non LNG project to be built in the Ras Laffan area
