Top Class Education
Kentz donated R100,000 to the Alexandra Education Committee (AEC) and has
also committed to providing 3 scholarships annually to high school pupils selected by the AEC. Each pupil will be given the opportunity to obtain a high quality secondary education in private schools or top class government schools, hopefully leading ultimately to a university qualification.
The three pupils who will benefit from this sponsorship are;Jane Marinagwa, Koketso Motsake, Gomotsogang Khunou.
Jane and Koketso are attending Summit College in Kyalami, and Gomotsogang attends Highlands North Boys School in Johannesburg, South Africa.
All 3 children are exceeding in their classes and participating in the Newspaper Clubs and playing tennis for the school’s team.
We hope that these children will go onto tertiary education and indeed that they will become Kentz employees.
In responding to Kentz support, Deone Yates, the founder of AEC and former Headmaster of St John’s College in Johannesburg, commented “We are very confident that, with support like yours, we will bring from the shacks and backyards those boys and girls who deserve to be helped and we will lead them on the road to a university education and to ultimate graduation, so that they are equipped and motivated to serve the community as the leaders, not the led”.
